Our Suite at The Cork Clinic was the first purpose built Orthodontic clinic in the country in 1991. It was built on the grounds of the Bon Secours Hospital on the Western Road. Having studied Orthodontic Clinics in America, Germany and the United Kingdom, it was designed to be open and welcoming with efficient and effective control of waiting, consultation, radiographic and treatment areas thus making the Orthodontic experience very relaxing for our patients.
We have full digital appointment, patient information, accounting, photographic and radiographic systems to optimise your orthodontic experience and minimise patient inconvenience.
Dr O’Leary is our principle orthodontist and has owned the practice since 2011 when she took over the well-established busy practice from Dr Seamus Keating, who founded the practice in the 1980s.
Dr O’Leary is a specialist orthodontist. This means that after dental school in UCC here in Cork she completed extra examinations and posts that allowed her to achieve a specialist registrar position in orthodontics in Kings College London. Dr O’Leary studied in Kings College for three years and obtained her membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons. She has also completed a masters project in orthodontics.
Dr O’Leary is on the specialist list for orthodontics in Ireland and is also a member of the Irish Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontics and the World Federation of Orthodontists. Dr O’Leary is also a past president of the Munster Branch of the Irish Dental Association and is currently serving as its branch secretary.
