Dr. Lettice O' Leary

Dr Lettice O'Leary joined the practice in 2009 and is delighted to be able to take over such a well-established practice on a full time basis.

Following Senior House Officer jobs in Oral and Maxillfacial surgery and orthodontics in the Dublin Dental Hospital and the Countess of Chester Hospital she then proceeded to a Specialist  Registrar position in Orthodontics in Kings Colllege London. After she finished her specialist training and obtained her Masters of Science in Orthodontics  (with Merit) from the University of London she returned to Ireland. She entered private orthodontic practice in Dublin and Tullamore in 2007.


Dr. O' Leary holds the following qualifications :

1999 B.D.S. N.U.I. U.C.C.
2002 M.F.D.S. R.C.S.I.
2007 M.Sc. U.Lon.
2007 M.Orth R.C.S.Ed.

Dr. O' Leary obtained several awards during her time in dental school  including the Dr. B.Foley gold medal.
Dr. O' Leary is on the specialist list for orthodontics in Ireland. She is a member of the Irish Dental Association, The Orthodontic Society of Ireland, the American Association of Orthodontists and World Federation of Orthodontists.

She has been a memeber of several dental committees including sub-committees of the British Orthodontic Society, the British Dental Association and currently she is a member of the Irish Dental Association Quality and Patient Safety Committee.
Dr. O' Leary has a special interest in adult orthodontics and provides lingual orthodontics (braces behind the teeth) as an option for her adult patients.

She also uses temporary anchorage devices which can make treatment simpler and more efficient in selected cases.
She attends national and international conferences every year to maintain an up- to- date practice.


 
 

Our Suite at The Cork Clinic was the first purpose built Orthodontic clinic in the country in 1991. It was built on the grounds of the Bon Secours Hospital on the Western Road. Having studied Orthodontic Clinics in America, Germany and the United Kingdom, it was designed to be open and welcoming with efficient and effective control of waiting, consultation, radiographic and treatment areas thus making the Orthodontic experience very relaxing for our patients.

We have full digital appointment, patient information, accounting, photographic and radiographic systems to optimise your orthodontic experience and minimise patient inconvenience.

 

We are situated on the Western Road beside the new IT building of University College Cork. There is easy access from the South Link Via the Wilton Road Roundabout and Wilton Road; from the East and Town centre via Washington Street; from the West by the Straight road and from the North via Sundays Well Road and Wellington Bridge. We are close to many schools including Presentation College, Mount Mercy, St Catherines, St Maries of the Isle, Bishoptown Community School, Colaiste An Spioraid Naoimh; the following buses pass our door: Number 8,1, 232, 233.
We are in walking distance from UCC. We have Parking on site.

 

Our fees reflect our knowledge, training and expertise along with the excellent clinical facilities we put at your disposal.

At the consultation visit, having analysed your occlusion, we will quote you a fee, which is tax deductible and comprehensive. The cost will reflect the difficulty of the treatment and the estimated time to complete active therapy. This will be followed in all cases for at least 2 years post treatment or longer if the patient is under 18 years of age and is inclusive of the cost.

Depending on your treatment prices vary from €850 to €3900. 

Our fees are tax deductible for you and your children. 

We provide completed Med 2 forms for you to submit.

We offer flexible payment plans and all payment plans are interest free, for your convenience we accept payment by card, (all major cards), standing order/ bank transfer, cash & cheque.
